June Beach day

 June 2022

We had a beach day in June to Pacific city, one of our favorite beaches. Got started with proper hair styles

It's a tough life.

It was actually pretty windy and chilly but we did a good job at pretending we were warm.

we had to hike the dune to warm up.

He was a bit grumpy from the wind.

Still fun despite the chilly wind. Beach days are fulfilling days!

Visit from the Pattersons

June 2022

This last summer  we got to have a visit from our wonderful friends, Richard and Marissa. We have known both Richard and Marissa since childhood and have kept a close friendship. We were so excited to get our kids together. It had been many years.

We got to spend a couple days with them, and then they had some other family events that they went to.
We got a little hike in. It was meant to be at Multnomah Falls but we found out that you were supposed to schedule in advance and pay $5 during the Summer. We were bummed. But we moved on to another hike that probably would have been amazing but the kids (mostly Walter) were really grumpy. ha!

We also had fun around the house and around the neighborhood. We played in our yard, got them converted into chicken people and also went to some of our favorite parks .
Our kids were instant friends and it was the best.

Shoving all 12 of us into a booth for Sushihana!

They left for a family reunion with Marissa's family, but a couple days later I crashed the reunion to do their photos. I did them all for the extended family which is a family I've known all my life so that was fun to see them all grown up! Here are a couple of Richard, Marissa, and fam.

Anyway, I know this was a long time ago but it is seriously the best when we get to meet with old friends and our kids have instant friends and we feel like no time has passed.

We had some fun mother/son track dates

Walter-approved beach towels

This kid can run!!

We named her Trish, but later felt like Moira was a more appropriate name. She's looking a lot more mangy these days.

Miles' turn at the track.

Father's day love.

Father's day photos outside of the church.

A church picnic with some of our old friends from before our move.

Sarah shared her amazing face painting skills. they all had their favorite animal (fox, owl, and husky)

Max and Charlie had both previously won the pie-eating contest, this year was not their year.

These photos are obviously all out of order because they don't have their faces painted yet here.

Morning light and puppy cuddles.

It was a big deal when we cleared enough of our yard to put up the ninja course.

The things we did while we waited a year for our oven...

When Walter started figuring out prayer.

Many park and nature school days. This was a great nature hike place that we need to go back to since Charlie had a dr appointment and couldn't come with us.

Other nature walks.

...with our pony.

popcorn popping at our church.

Some rainy June nature school days.

I'm pretty sure he was watching dad work.

There was a day he figured out that he could take the stool anywhere to make himself taller.

or this thing.

Edwin wanted to learn chess while his brothers were in a class.

Charlie was successful with his egg-drop.

Dad helping the boys with science.

A sunny walk home from church.

Maisy's first birthday was the beginning of June so the boys made her some concoction.

Walter was excited that his room was clean and was dancing around like a wild child and ran into the wooden bunk bed. I actually have it on video too but I'm not organized enough to get the video up here. He was all smiles soon after.

My mom took the boys for a long weekend so Max and I could celebrate our anniversary. One of those days we went and helped with a large Latino conference. We had some friends that were looking for some volunteers to help serve food. It was so much fun and we ended up being fed so well from a famous chef. And we got to spend time with this awesome Chilean family The Lyons.

She's ashamed of her pony hair-do.

Splash pad, Charlie always brings fun things.

Brothers made Walter a crown when he turned 18 months. (nearly a year ago now!)

And that was our June 2022
