Christmas Time! We started our Christmas weekend with our annual Progressive eating Day. Sadly there was no school bus this year but we still had fun. Starting out at my Uncle Jay's house for breakfast, my house for fruits and veggies, My Cousins house for lunch, bells, Jingo, and gingerbread houses, and ending at my grandmas for a pinata and dinner. It's one of my favorite traditions and my boys sure are loving it too. They love to see what toys each house has. I definitely didn't take many photos but here is what we got...
Kaden and Charlie working on their masterpieces

At some point in the middle of this, Max went to pick up his parents at the bus station and they joined in the fun! We went home full and happy at the end of a fun day.
The next day was Christmas Eve and just as I was driving away to church, I saw Max running toward me in my rear view mirror. I stopped and he let me know that church was canceled because of the ice and snow. We were driving separately because he was taking his parents. I was so bummed. I was really excited to listen to the Christmas program and thought it would be a great beginning to our Christmas celebration. So we came back home and watched Mr. Kreuger's Christmas. Max pampered his parents. In the afternoon, it was time to go to Max's uncle Jays house. Max's car made it safely and I was a little ways behind him and my car kept getting stuck in the ice. Max parked and helped me get out of the ice then go back to his car to get his parents to Jay's house. Eventually we were all there nice and safe. Some other people weren't able to be there and Brent and Lisa's family had to leave early to get ahead of the weather on their long drive home. We were bummed to miss them. Someone had told Miles to guard the pies....He took that job quite seriously!

We enjoyed a nice meal and everyone was spoiled by Uncle Jay. When it was time to go, it got a little crazy, a ton of snow had come down and our cars were all parked down the street because Jay's driveway is so steep. We had decided that we would chain up our car and go to my green grandma's house while Max left his parent to visit with Jay and Mumzie. It took awhile to get everyone down the street to Mumzie's house but we were eventually on our way. The drive was fine with the chains and it was great to see Green Grandma. It was a bummer that a handful of my cousins were not able to make it....It turns out that a white Christmas is Oregon is not all that great. Hah. At the end of the night, we made our way home, tidied up our house and got to work so Santa could arrive.
The boys woke up nice and early. We got them to sleep/rest for a little longer but I was just about as excited as them so I made my way downstairs to get breakfast in the oven, Christmas music playing and the youtube log...ahem, I mean yule log going!
Each boy found their stocking with a gift from Santa....Miles was confused that his stocking was hanging on a bike...and then thrilled when he realized the bike was for him, and his favorite color. Charlie got a big pack of Legos and Edwin got some toys that belonged to us but had been loaned out since before he was born! haha! Thrifty!
A highlight for these boys was the gift from my brothers...their very own REAL bow and arrows!
My Dad stopped by in the morning and took these photos
Our evening plans kept changing as well (a theme this Christmas) We were going to go to my mom's house but she was super sick so we stayed home in our pajamas for the rest of the day, and it was great!
The day after Christmas was spent playing with our new toys. Max was going to take his parents and Charlie on a Zoo date while I took Miles (and Edwin) to a playground to ride his bike. So that is what we did until Max let me know that he arrived at the zoo and it was closed because of the snow (changing plans again!) They ended up going to the nickle arcade and had so so so much fun. After some freezing cold bike riding....Miles and I made our way home for some Cocoa and a movie.
And there are some Christmas memories!
