April 2021 Happenings

 April 2021

This photos all loaded in reverse order but I'm just going to go with it. This is mostly to remind myself that we do occasionally do interesting things when I'm feeling guilty that we don't have enough outings or extracurricular activities.

Anyway...We got a crystal grow kit that made 3 crystals then you turn them into a night light. It was pretty great, then got roughed up a bit when we moved.

Volcanoes

My Mom and Don had gifted us a family Powell's book gift card and we were finally able to go and use it. Libraries were still closed at this point so it was extremely exciting that we got to go to the book store.

Everyone got to pick out a book (or two)

And we picked out some Max socks for Max

The boys like to make "mouse houses"

Or nature art

One reason I'm glad Miles is homeschooled is because he needs to "sit" and do his work in different positions.

Miles likes to decorate his own photos.

They kept eyeballing these at Costco and finally decided to spend their money on them, haha. Although Miles didn't get the one pictured.

I like that Charlie's schoolwork incorporated scriptures occasionally.

Our new dentist has TVs on the ceiling. Miles and Edwin had already finished so they craned their necks to watch Charlie's screen.

We had some great weather so we played outside as much as we could.

We also got this new ninja course that has been super fun!

It makes me happy when my boys help each other learn

The bedside bassinet was a game changer!

Charlie washed all his shells from the last beach trip.

We were pretty ecstatic when we witnessed the venus fly trap closing in on a fly!

Making treats

We saw this art in Miles Language Arts book and it reminded us of the following picture of Charlie and Gracie.

Easter and Conference

One of my favorite photos from last Spring when we were working on our future yard. We spent some time cutting back black berry bushes then the boys had brought a poetry book we had picked out at the library and they took a break to read together. (Walter is in the carseat on the left.) There was nothing staged at all, it just all worked out.

And sometimes we just need to look at horrendous filters.

And that's all for April.
