Something we love about having our little boy is that we get to experience childhood again through events like, going to the park, swimming, rolling in the grass, swinging, wrestling on the floor etc. It's so fun to remember how much fun we had as children and how much Charlie loves these things as a young child. This makes a lot more sense in my head and I'm having a hard time with words...oh well.
One of those events was our trip to the pumpkin patch...it was new and exciting again because we got to share our experience with our little Charlie.
We also invited some friends that were brand new to Oregon and had never been to a pumpkin patch. We wanted to give them the full rainy, muddy, Oregon-y pumpkin experience.

Charlie was more fascinated with the hole than looking at the camera.
The rain started near the end and came on hard and cold. We hope our friends didn't mind! We were all ready to go home and drink some hot cocoa in the end.
FYI I did this whole blog post in under 10 minutes...I'm getting good. |
Hurray for new friends, the pumpkin patch and the blogging in under 10 minutes. I love the first picture of you and Charlie. And I totally know what you're talking about reliving childhood and all. Being a parent in amazing.
ReplyDeletePS I'm totally jealous of your pumpkin hats. I just had to say that. :-)
I just love these pictures
ReplyDeleteThat photo of Charlie! (your favorite and now mine) Amazing! Everything about it- the level, the colors, all the pumpkins in the background and of course that hat! Too perfect.
ReplyDeleteThe best part about your post is that I just read another friend's blog and she lives and Arizona and her post was about going to the pumpkin patch and how it was 90 degrees and then yours is all rainy. Have you seen my pumpkin patch post? Just saying that Utah weather has been the most appropriate so far. Win.
