Update

I have been getting behind in blogging and we have had  a bunch of fun things going on, probably the most exciting being our camping/beach trip this last weekend which deserves its own blog post but I feel that I have to get caught up on some other things first!

Mothers Day! I sure love being a mother and felt spoiled on such a day with being released from any dish washing and diaper changing duty. This was also Charlie's first day in Nursery at church so they of course had the kids make special gifts for their moms. I also got spoiled with a great massage.

Charlie is 18 months. Charlie turned 18 months on Mother's day and his stats were as follows. Height 33 inches 84% Weight: 28 pounds 10 oz 81% Still a big and healthy boy. He still isn't big on speaking but he is trying to say new words every day. My favorite is Ta-Da. When he does something that he thinks is pretty great, a somersault, or some other stunt he claps for himself and yells Ta-Da!
He no longer uses the binky to fall asleep. He had a little trouble falling asleep at first but is now getting better however, he has been waking up in the middle of the night having long giggly conversations with himself that can last for hours.
He is becoming more of a class-clown and loves to make silly faces and sounds to get a reaction out of people. (I'm pretty sure he gets that from his dad) He loves to make people laugh.
He has his first set of molars and all of his canine teeth are in the process of coming in. I love his toothy grin! Whenever I ask Charlie to say "mommy" he yells "Daddyyyyyy" He loves to be outside and is always happy to be out of the house whether it's in a shopping cart at Target or at the park.

A couple weeks ago, Max's Dad's cousin passed away and the funeral was held in Tillamook Oregon. We didn't know this man very well but we was the one who hosted the annual Baertlein family reunion. He lived a long happy life. We attended the funeral but due to inadequate GPS directions we got there pretty late. We were planning to spend some time at the beach afterward but it was cold and pouring rain so instead we visited the Tillamook cheese factory and got our cheese samples and ice cream cones. Here are some pictures from that outing.

Max saw these great sequinned hats and thought a family photo op was in order.

We finished a 3 month long weight lifting workout together and then started Insanity. We are now in the 4th week. It is seriously insane and I can say I kind of dread each workout but feel great afterwards. But we are going to be so fit.

I can't think of anymore updates so I'll post this and then get going on our camping trip.
