Photos galore

My computer is full of photos of my kids. I'm constantly practicing with my camera, and taking cell phone photos to text to Max throughout the day, So I guess I will share some of those photos and give you a glimpse of what we've been up to.

We've had an early Spring here in Portland so that means lots of playtime in the yard. It makes my heart happy when these boys play together.

He likes to stand...but not so interested in taking steps.

He loves to eat dirt and sticks

Then there was the time I tried to recreate some photos I did with Charlie, only I did them with Charlie at 8 months and I did them with Miles at 10 months. Surprisingly Miles is the same size that Charlie was at 5 months. He's my little guy and I'm ok with that.

And here's the comparison...Charlie on the left and Miles on the right.

And I kind of love when Miles crawls over to the piano and reaches as high as he can to play the high notes

Then I got a new lens for my camera so that has made me want to practice a whole lot more. Good thing that my life is full of attractive people to practice on.

This is just showing that Charlie still crosses his eye with his glasses on, I will need to show this to his doctor when we go later this month.

Charlie spends a lot of time playing with his Kinetic sand and pink beads.

I'm pretty sure Max makes that same exact face.

Then there was Marissa who went 2 WEEKS past her due date before their sweet little (9 pound) William was born. We got to spend a couple of her waiting days with her and Lacey and it was a blast. And yes, she does make OVERDUE look good!

And then there are the times that we show up at Max's work for lunch and he isn't there so we play on the railroad tracks and I take photos of my toddler with my wiggly and grabby baby in my arms.

And then we spent a day at the park with Lacey and Marissa while the waiting continued.

And Charlie popped a hinge on his glasses shortly after arriving at the park so he got to play blind for awhile. Luckily the eye doctor was able to fix it quickly.

I just love swing photos if you haven't noticed.

Oh and I have a new job...kind of! Max's work is hiring me every other month to go and take photos of some of their construction projects. It is kind of fun, and great practice for me.. trying to make concrete look good.

And we celebrated my Red Grandma's 82nd Birthday at Gustavs. This is the only photo I took of her since it was pretty dark in there..oh and I may have been distracted by the fondue.

And Charlie dipped his french fries in Ketchup with a fondue fork...pretty classy.

We went to my grandma's house after to play for a little bit and to sing happy birthday and eat dessert.

And then we made it back to our new favorite park, where Charlie can climb his little heart out and Miles has all the bark chips his little fists (and mouth) can handle.

And another reason I love this park is that it has the perfect place for Charlie to throw rocks in the water. I haven't found a place this perfect yet and it makes me so happy.

And I have my very own Harry Potter

And here is a blurry photo of Charlie going on a breakfast and book date with Grandma. (But check out that focus on the freshly trimmed hedge)

And then Charlie broke his glasses for reals and I have no idea how. Luckily his eye doctor had some of the same frames in stock and they were able to pop his lenses in some new frames right away. Im 'impressed he went 5 months before breaking them!

And here are a couple of Miles, he is learning to fold his arms and he does it when he sees Charlie do it during family prayer. This makes me extra happy because just a couple days before Charlie was talking about how he was going to teach Miles how to talk and how to be reverent.

He has also become the great Houdini when it comes to shopping carts and his high chair. We have tried multiple methods to keep him in and he can miraculously finagle his way out. My next plan is to fatten up his thighs as much as I can.

And I think that's all for now. Good Job for making it to the end.

  1. Yay you did a photo dump! ;) I'm amazed at all the practice you are doing, before you know it you will be passing me up! But seriously though, those swing pictures. And that place you found to throw rocks looks like it's out of a fairy tale book! Looks like we need to come visit soon. :)

  2. you make cement look great. I love all the pictures. I love the forest pictures, and Miles with the truck. I love that Grandma took Charlie on a breakfast date. that is so fun. I love the picture of Charlie through the oval in the play structure. That is a view I like to see when we go play at the park. It's one of my favorite mommy memory photo's I take in my mind because there is no way I could capture it on camera.
