Pumpkin Patch

I got to attend the Lee Farms Pumpkin patch with Charlie as part of his preschool field trip. I haven't been to this farm in years but it is always a popular one for field trips. I'm the official photographer for Charlie's class, so I was taking photos of everyone, I'm just mostly including the photos of Charlie. We got there a little bit early and played around while waiting for the rest of his class and the younger class.

Once his whole class was there, we made our way to see the animals. We saw rabbits, cows, a donkey, horses, dogs, chicks, turkeys, chickens, goats, pigs, and itty bitty baby piglets. Somehow, very few of those animals actually got in photos.

One of Charlie's favorite parts was feeding the calves!

They also got to see how cider was made and then try a cup.
And then go into another barn to check out all the types of pumpkins they have at the farm.

They all got to go through the small haymaze that ended in this slide.

We then got to walk through the corn fields and pick out a pumpkin. The pickings were slim which was strange since they had so many glorious pumpkins in other parts of the farm. We each got a small green pumpkin and boarded the hayride to go back to the main part of the farm.

And this is Charlie's class and the younger class.

After most of the kids left, Charlie and I lingered a little longer to play on the tractor. We then went to the store to get some cider and warm pumpkin donuts. Which we took home to share with Max and Miles. Miles was certainly excited when he woke up from a nap and got a doughnut as a snack!!

It was a fun time that I was glad I got to have with Charlie. We had intentions of going as a family but it just didn't work out and Miles (and Max) were gypped out of a pumpkin patch trip this year. We all had pumpkins though and 2 of them were our first successful pumpkins we grew in our garden. So that's pretty exciting.

  1. Official photog huh? That's fun! I love that moody light in the one of charlie feeding the calf! And you got a lot of other great interaction photos. This farm sounds like the full fall experience!
