4th of July

Independence day started with sleeping in and chores! We then made our way to my grandma's house for the parade and fireworks show. We got to meet my cousin's new baby girl, so that was fun! We got there in time for the parade and to barbecue and to play with cousins.

I was super lazy with taking photos but here are a couple...
The boys loved the parade, Edwin loved LOVED the convertible cars. Each one that went by, Edwin claimed "that one's my favorite!"

This year, the high school where we usually go for the fireworks was closed for construction. The show was still going to happen but we couldn't sit on the high school football field. So we stayed at my grandma's house while they lit all the fountain fireworks. Usually we miss this part since we are at the high school celebration so may boys had a blast lighting and watching the fireworks, except Edwin, he was kind of afraid of the fireworks. We were actually sitting pretty close and they were really loud so I get it. At one point someone said (not to me) "Are we ready to light some more?" and Edwin started yelling "Not Ready Not Ready!"

Later he went up to watch the fireworks from a greater distance.

Charlie was pretty excited that he got to light some fireworks!

And those were all the photos we took. When the big show was going to start, we walked down the street and sat on the side of the road and still had a good view. We then jumped in the car and made our way home, because Max had to work the next day!
