July 2022
I think there's something about blogging the summer months when it's extremely cold and rainy outside right now. It gives me hope that summer will come once again, hopefully soon.
And for some reason they uploaded backwards again...so we'll go with it.
Splash pad fun with cousins
Some major deck progress happened in July, that baby excited to watch daddy is the best.
My little biker gang!
We had a church pioneer day activity with fun games, music and crafts
An exciting day of putting the wires on the railing for the front stair case
Lots of archery time last summer
More splash pad time
Walter just went on in and joined the statue family.
Sprinkler and mud
I'm' really hoping we get summer weather here soon.
The library had free lunch and lots of activities all summer so we went there a lot.
We got to go spend time with cousins while Elizabeth was out of town and James had a long working day.
Gwenevere and Grace did all the work preparing lunch for everyone.
Always topsy turvy over here.
He finished his reading program that extended into the summer but his reading and confidence improved tremendously!
there was that day in mid-july where a huge branch came crashing down and crushed our chicken coop and trampoline.
It happened in the evening when luckily no one was on the trampoline. Max and I had a fire going in the back yard and the kids were in bed, we had run in to grab something and heard a crash. We came back out and the huge branch had fallen, nearly into the fire and right where we were sitting. We also were so grateful it was at night because our kids had been spending hours on the trampoline and they wouldn't have been able to get off in time with the net on there. It was very traumatic and the boys (Especially Edwin) were very distraught about their trampoline.
And miraculously no chickens were injured. We were pretty bummed because we had just barely claimed this corner from all the weeds and overgrowth and set up the chicken coop.
Putting little brother to work
This boy really likes his cars and trucks.
A morning walk to the middle school track to play. We really liked using the school grounds when school was out.
Nothing cuter than a baby fresh out of the bath.
Hours of entertainment with deck scraps.
Big moment learning to ride a two wheeler. He just took off with it. He had been cruising on the balance bike for years.
More playing at the library.
Out of order but this was before the tree fell, right after we finished putting the coop up. And that pile of yard debris was so much smaller than it had been since we had been doing many backyard fires.
On July 1st, our oven arrived. 1 year after we closed on the house. This was a beautiful sight, it took a couple days to get it all the way installed.
A couple more photos when the Pattersons were here. Miles and William became best buds!
Charlie and Lacey picking blackberries!
The good life during the summer...until that tree squished the trampoline.
And they pass out so quickly during the summer....I can't wait for it to come around again.
We celebrated Independence day at My grandmas house so we could walk down to the high school to see the big firework show.
The boys had matching hair for the occasion.

Maisy tried to match but it looked pretty weird.
Hey ,I'm in a picture!
Boys and their fire!
A visit from cousin Maelie
More time at the track.
That blessed day when the oven actually arrived on our doorstep!!!
Enjoying our new stair railings.
Rose garden outing which will be it's own post!
And to haunt your dreams, I'll leave you with these creepy filtered photos...the filters need to stop guys!
There's July!
