Winter Solstice-Toilet Seat Park

It was a beautiful Sunny, Foggy, Cold Day so we made our way to one of our favorite parks (My children call it toilet seat park) to get some wiggles out. And that is pretty much the extent of it. I happened to bring my camera and take photos.

And Miles doesn't last long in the cold (He is just like me in that way) Charlie could play forever and not notice it was cold (Just like Max) So before I left, I promised them hot cocoa if they would take brother photos. Miles was not happy about it. Edwin wasn't too pleased either...Charlie tried his best!

Next Up...Christmastime!

Zoolights

I have to say that I'm not a fan of big crowds, or freezing temperatures. But we were invited to Zoolights and decided to go. We ended up getting a zoo pass so we could enjoy the zoo more (and we have been enjoying it since) We went with some of our favorite people but after taking forever to get to the zoo and then forever to park and then forever to pick up our tickets. We scrambled through the crowds constantly worried we were going to lose a kid. Charlie kept asking to see different animals and we were all grumpy and trying to keep up with our group. I am well aware that I am complaining, and it really is mostly to remind me not to go again. I don't think anyone in my family had fun. Haha! The plus side is that I didn't get cold because I had a heated jacket...however, I did constantly worry about my kids being warm enough. And the only photos I have to show for the event are a couple penguin photos. It's definitely a memory...next time we'll drive the neighborhood with hot cocoa and Christmas music.

10 months

Back when we went to a field as the sun was setting to take photos of Edwin at 10 months. Yes, we took a lot of photos.

The Christmas Tree Hunt

We weren't sure where to get our Christmas tree this year since our friends with a Christmas tree farm weren't selling them anymore. We found out that there were still some trees on their property and even though they weren't there, they said we could go pick out a tree, so that is just what we did.

 Miles being super helpful

Big boys both got turns chopping down the tree. Edwin and I cuddled to stay warm and watched them.

TIMBERRRRR

We cut it a little high on the stump because it was taller than our ceilings so then the boys had fun cutting the remaining part of the stump so no one tripped on it!

And then we had our Christmas tree, the first week of December. And there really was something enjoyable about being the only ones on the farm.
