Halloween: Part 1

Every year I have ideas for Halloween but as it gets closer I realize I don't want to spend the time or money on our costumes that we will wear for 1 night. Max loves to dress up and I knew the boys were going to want to start picking their own costumes soon so I decided in May that we were going to do  Mary Poppins theme. It would be so simple because they could wear clothes they already had. We got the movie from the library and it turned out that both my boys loved it! They were already familiar with most of the music but we have been singing it constantly for months. So we really hyped it up about how they were going to be chimney sweeps for Halloween. They were completely excited about it. Anyway, we finally made it happen and we of course had to take a million photos!

The Friday before Halloween we had a church party. We had grand intentions of going to a roof top for photos but by the time we were all costumed up, and Max found his hat that Charlie lost. The light was fading and it was almost time to go to the party. (Don't worry, we still got our rooftop photos...just wait for part 2) So these are from our yard.

Luckily. there is an outdoor fireplace on one of the houses we manage so we had a lot of fun with that!

And the light was fading quick...but the graininess adds to the effect right?

We made our way to our church Halloween party and had a blast. I didn't take many photos but we did win a prize for the family costume award and Charlie was so excited that he said he wants to be a chimney sweep every year...I just told him, he needs to trust me when I pick out his costumes!

Stay tuned for many more Halloween rooftop photos...
