Nativity

December 24, 2020

The Christmas season was different this year in a good way.  Everything slowed down and we all felt the peace that came into our home with Walter's sweet spirit. It helped us reflect better on the birth of the Savior. I wanted to capture that feeling somehow and wasn't sure if we should try to do a nativity photo shoot because most of our photoshoots turn out silly (which I love because we are just silly) but I wanted this one to have a more sacred and peaceful feel.

We still had a little silly but I'm so happy with how the photos came out and that this Christmas will be preserved in our memory as the one we had the newborn babe and simplified our activities and traditions.

Here the boys were helping with set up.

Towels and robes galore, still a special time.

This one was my absolute favorite. Some of the best things about a newborn are their complete trust that you will keep them safe and their unconditional love. I love his content face in this photo. He hadn't smiled much up to this point so it was amazing to come across this photo and see his content face.

A Christmas to remember.
