Walter is 1!

Walter turned one! Here are his photos. 

Never had a baby able to walk for their one-year-old photos. 

He tolerates swings for a short period of time. 

I have been so pleasantly surprised with how much Walter's big brother's love him. I was expecting a little more jealousy or frustration but they just think he is the greatest, and Walter is obsessed with his brothers. 

We were enjoying the early sunset of a late fall day. 

Walter totally fell and hit his face shortly after we arrived at the park. 

Always spider man

We stayed until it was nearly dark. and enjoyed every bit of it, except for the time Walter smashed his face.

For his birthday we had some simple celebrations. The big boys had been looking forward to filling his crib with balloons so we definitely did that. 

Edwin had a preschool field trip to Whole Foods so that is part of how the celebration went down. 

In the evening, Walter opened a couple gifts and we got to eat cupcakes and have Uncle Austin over whose birthday is 1 week after Walter's. 

Scored this thing for free from the BUY nothing groups so we will be happy to pass it on when he's done with it. 

And we had cupcakes with blue frosting as that is apparently the tradition with all our boy's first piece of cake. 

HE really enjoyed the cupcake, more than any of our other boys on their first birthday. It's probably because we had more sugar than the others prior to his first birthday. 

A couple days later we had a family party to celebrate Walter and Austin and we were supposed to be celebrating getting our new oven which took another 7 months to arrive.

The cousins also brought Charlie his birthday gift so Grace and Charlie had a good time with legos. 

Walter got all tuckered out.

And Red Grandma had been excited to come see our house so it was fun to celebrate with her too!
