Cape Meares and Oceanside

For another Field trip. we made our way to the beach. Walter hadn't been to the beach yet so it was his first time and it also was part of our water unit study. We accidentally went during Spring Break so we had planned to go to the Tillamook cheese factory but it had huge lines out the door and we didn't want to wait in those lines, especially since we had Tillamook cheese and ice cream in our fridge at home, and many parts of the factory were closed to spectators. So we went on our way to Cape Meares. I got lost as I usually do when we go there, since the GPS always takes us the wrong way. But we eventually made it and  started checking out the viewpoints and having a picnic.

They brought binoculars and then complained the whole time on who should carry them. There was fighting and fits because everyone wanted to have them on the tiny hike but no one wanted to carry them.

It was kind of crazy to see them fight over this which i refused to put a quarter in.  They were literally looking at NOTHING. All while begrudgingly carrying the binoculars.

We got to check out the octopus tree.

We then made our way to a beach that we had never gone to before. The parking was somewhat close to the beach and it was still kind of cold so we weren't planning on staying too long. We brought the bare minimum down to the sand.

Our towels ended up getting soaked and the boys had collected many many seashells so we had quite the heavy load to carry back to the car so there may have been more complaining. (Ha, apparently I'm only remembering the complaining from this trip we took a year ago.)

Anyway, we then got McDonalds and drove home.
