Roemhildt family reunion.

September 2021

Thanks to my wonderful sister-in-law, thinking ahead and making a fun family reunion for us, we got to enjoy camping at the beach. She had reserved yurts for us all in advance so we were excited to have a camping trip. My dad and younger brothers came too.

After packing it all up we got to the yurt after dark. We unloaded our stuff then walked down to the beach. I wish I attempted some better photography here because it was beautiful and we could see so many stars and the kids loved running around in the dark .

The next morning, Edwin and I were awake first so we got up with the puppy and Maisy finally met her cousin Hank. Hank is a protective and loyal dog and was not a fan of any other creatures (or people) infiltrating his family. But they met and Maisy was pretty hyped up.

We ended up walking down to the beach with the cousins because it was beautiful morning.

Later we went back to get the rest of the family up and eat some breakfast. We spent most of the day playing at the beach.

He was pretty happy to be there!

We played this game where you knock logs down... I can't even remember the name of it but it was fun.

We went back to the campground for dinner and bike riding.

But of course we needed to go back to the beach for the sunset. We loved being so close.

The next day, we packed up our car then went to explore some lighthouses and tide pools.

Little teddy bear

We were able to see lots of seals in the nearby waves.

After that exploration we made our way to Depot Bay to eat at a seafood restaurant and had amazing clam chowder. Then we made our way home.

It was the perfect reunion!! Thanks for planning it Elizabeth.
